Hot on the heels of HSG248 and the latest edition of ACADemy magazine, work is about to start on the second post implementation review (PIR) of the Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations 2012 (CAR12).
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is seeking the views of a wide range of stakeholders and you are encouraged to participate in their on-line survey which is running from 21st May until 11th June 2021. The PIR of CAR12 will seek to establish if the regulations continue to meet their objectives, remain appropriate and are still the best means to minimise exposure to asbestos. The survey is an important first step of that process. All individual responses to the survey will be aggregated together and treated anonymously. Any information you provide will not be used for regulatory inspection purposes.
The survey should take no more than 10-15 minutes of your time and is available using this link.
This and more will be on the agenda during the next round of ACAD regional meetings, all online via Teams:
