Membership Options

TICA offers a number of membership options designed to suit the range of companies and organisations operating in the industry.

More than 100 companies and organisations are TICA Members, enjoying the benefits that being part of a National Trade Body and Training Provider brings.

Membership is available in the following categories (Click the Membership Level titles below to expand that section):

Full Membership

For UK contractors involved in industrial hot and cold insulation.

Full Membership Qualifications

  • Minimum trading period 2 years
  • Submission of latest accounts
  • Satisfactory insurance cover
  • 1 reference from a Client
  • 1 reference from a Supplier
  • Health and Safety Policy

Full Membership Benefits

  • Membership of the Build UK
  • Vote at meetings and sit on committees
  • Industrial relations representation
  • Receive information relating to TICA including newsletters on a regular basis
  • Publications (National Agreement etc)
  • Legal and HR Support
  • Access to negotiated Private Healthcare scheme

Membership Fees

The annual TICA Full Membership subscription is based upon a percentage of the insulation turnover. The figure is 0.1605% of insulation turnover with a minimum subscription of £1015 + VAT and a capped fee of £15,225 + VAT per annum. The TICA Training Levy is £163 per operative.

We will issue an Annual Return Form in July of each year, which must be completed and returned. Subscription figures are calculated from the Annual Return and invoices are sent in January of each year with 4 payment options; BACS, cheque, credit card or standing order of 6 instalments. Invoices must be paid promptly to ensure continued membership.

Full TICA Members will benefit from a 50% discount from ACAD Membership.


Application Process

Complete and return the application form. We will send you an acknowledgement letter and follow up your references.

In line with agreement with our Governing Council and ratified at the 2017 AGM, new members now require an independent audit to ensure the criteria for membership is met. The cost for this audit is £750 plus VAT. Upon receipt of your application form, we will issue an invoice for your audit, as soon as your payment is received, we will forward your details onto the auditors.

Subject to satisfactory results, the application will be granted.

Associate Membership

This TICA Membership is appropriate for companies who are associated with the industry, for example thermal insulation recruitment, material suppliers, or any other companies associated with the thermal insulation industry who are NOT thermal insulation contractors.

This membership is for anyone who requires an information or associated service, such as local authorities.

There is no vetting required for this subscription.

Associate Member Benefits

  • A display on the interactive Member Location Map
  • Access to TICA Regional Meetings

Associate Members must not display the TICA logo unless authorised by the Governing Council.

Membership Fees
The annual TICA Associate Membership subscription is £1015 + VAT; invoiced annually on January 1st. Payments can be made via BACS, Standing Order of 6 instalments, cheque or credit card.

Application Process

Complete and return the application form. We will send you an acknowledgement letter and follow up your references. Subject to satisfactory references, the application will be passed to our Chief Executive and then to TICA Governing Council for approval.

Employment Business Membership

This TICA Membership is appropriate for companies who supply the Association’s Insulation Contractor Membership with personnel working within the National Agreement for the Thermal Insualtion Contracting Industry or the National Agreement for the Engineering and Construction Industry. They pay their employees strictly in accordance with the agreement applicable to the project on which they are employed.

Employment Business Membership Qualifications

  • Submission of latest accounts
  • Satisfaction insurance cover
  • 1 reference from a client
  • 1 reference from a supplier
  • Health and Safety Policy
  • Confirmation that when supplying labour to our members, terms and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the appropriate agreement for the trade on the project in which they are to be employed; that is the National
  • Agreement for the Thermal Insulation Contracting
  • Industry or the National Agreement for the Engineering and Construction Industry.
  • Confirmation that, if it should be requested, the payroll of the labour employed is able to be audited by an appointed representative of the TICA/Client.

Complete and return this application form, and upon receipt an acknowledgement letter will be sent to you. The application will be circulated first to the TICA Chief Executive and finally to the Governing Council for approval.

COMMERCIAL SUPPORT
