ACAD Audits

Audits form a vital part of a Licensed organisations membership of ACAD.  In addition, ACAD audits support HSE Licence renewals and contribute towards ACAD’s central aim of continually raising standards in the Asbestos industry.

ACAD undertakes planned and unannounced audits of our members sites.  This mixed approach is necessary due, in part, to the high security/high risk environments ACAD members have a long history of working within. All audits are quality checked before issue and draw upon the knowledge and skills of some of the most experienced and knowledgeable individuals within the Licensed Asbestos industry.  the ACAD approach offers client organisations a fantastic level of assurance when selecting an Asbestos removal contractor.

In addition to identifying any weaknesses and offering ideas for improvements, ACAD audits also recognise those areas where a contractor is going beyond compliance and operating at an aspirational level which are a great resource for HSE during the new style electronic licence renewals.  In fact, ACAD has been issuing awards during our annual golf day and awards dinner since 2014 to celebrate those ACAD members who are operating at such aspirational levels.

To recognise the efforts of ACAD members who demonstrate the very best standards, ACAD awards a Certificate of Excellence.

The Excellence in Audit award goes to the organisations which have achieved the highest overall score during our site audits.

The Leading Best Practice award goes to the organisation which is exceeding the legal requirements and displaying the most aspirational standards in their work.
