ABOUT THIS EVENT:

In 2024 we have decided to bring the annual celebration together for TICA-ACAD as we proceed with a new format and a new venue.

There has been an overwhelming response from our members that they want a more informal event to meet with like-minded people in the industry. Therefore, as summer approaches, we’re gearing up for our much-anticipated TICA-ACAD Charity Summer Social.

Join us for an extraordinary day of networking, leisure, and philanthropy, all in support of a cause close to our hearts – raising money for Mesothelioma UK.

Here’s what you can expect: 

Golf Day: Tee off amidst the picturesque Yorkshire countryside and compete for top honours on the greens. Prizes await the champions! 

Live Screening: As England takes on Denmark in the Euros Group Stage watch from the Woolsingham Suite with the company of fellow members. 

Gin Tasting Experience: Treat your taste buds to a delightful gin-tasting journey, courtesy of a local gin distillery. 

Silent Auction: Bid on exclusive items and experiences, with all proceeds going to support Mesothelioma UK. 

Evening Celebrations: Wrap up the day with live music and a sizzling BBQ on the terrace.

RUNNING ORDER:

10:30am – Golfer Arrival for registration and refreshments

12:00pm – Shotgun Tee Off

5:00pm – Evening Reception

EITHER

a.) Relax and unwind – the England vs Denmark match will be shown

b.) Partake in the Gin Tasting Experience (if booked)

7:00pm – Evening BBQ and Live Music

DRESS CODE:

Smart-casual summer wear. We want everyone to feel comfortable while enjoying the evening.

OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATION:

There are limited bedrooms available on two separate booking levels at Aldwark Manor which are to be booked direct by quoting “TICA-ACAD SUMMER SOCIAL”. Please note, these are all on a first-come, first-served basis. There is also accommodation available at Mercure York Fairfield Manor Hotel which is 20 minutes from the venue – please contact them directly to book.
