CONTEXT
In TICA’s very first White Paper “Thermal Insulation: the low hanging fruit for decarbonisation” , TICA Technical Director, Chris Ridge asks “How can Government incentivise adoption of thermal insulation of pipework as a key carbon reduction enabler?”
The white paper establishes thermal insulation of pipework as a no-regrets, a-political enabler for industrial, commercial and domestic carbon reduction and establishes several strategies that could be adopted by Government to promote thermal insulation related energy saving measures. Central to TICA’s drive to raise awareness on this issue is a call to action for Government to adopt a minimum thermal insulation energy rating of C in line with other leading European countries.
