BEIS Energy Technology List (ETL) Consultation

The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) are seeking views on the future direction of the Energy Technology List (ETL), and on proposed technical changes for the 2020 update of the Energy Technology Criteria List (ETCL).

The ETL is an approved product list from which additional tax incentives can be claimed by a client after installation.

Within this wide-ranging consultation, there is a specific section dedicated to Technical Insulation which is why TICA has been approached to promote this consultation to our membership so it is vital that as many TICA members as possible make our industry voice heard.

This is a 2-part consultation on the ETL.  You can answer either part or both.  Part 1 and 2 are as follows:

Part 1: The future direction of the Energy Technology List Scheme

• This section sets out the future policy direction for the ETL.

Part 2: Technical changes to the Energy Technology Criteria List (ETCL) 2020

• This part is more technical and focuses on the proposed changes to the product standards in the ETCL for 2020.
