Membership Options
TICA offers a number of membership options designed to suit the range of companies and organisations operating in the industry.
More than 100 companies and organisations are TICA Members, enjoying the benefits that being part of a National Trade Body and Training Provider brings.

Associate Membership
This TICA Membership is appropriate for companies who are associated with the industry, for example thermal insulation recruitment, material suppliers, or any other companies associated with the thermal insulation industry who are NOT thermal insulation contractors.
This membership is for anyone who requires an information or associated service, such as local authorities.
There is no audit required for this subscription.
Membership Fees – New for 2024
We continue to strive to serve our core membership base as well as providing a valuable platform for our Associate Members to share best practice, become informed on wider industry issues and network within our membership as a whole. We hope that you will continue to engage on our technical platform and webinars, and that our events remain useful to you and your organisation for broadening industry engagement and knowledge on key sector issues.
With this in mind, and having listened to feedback from within our membership, we will offer two categories of Associate Membership, defined as follows:
Associate membership £1,250
- Recognised on TICA Social Media
- Attendance at Regional Meetings and Networking Events
- Early notification of AGM events
- Listing on TICA Associate Members Directory
- Access to TICA Construction Product Competence CPD Programme
Premium Associate £1,250, plus an agreed material donation to the TICA National Training Centre for apprenticeship use
- Recognised on TICA Social Media
- Attendance at Regional Meetings and Networking Events with allocation of additional seats for up to 2 guests
- Early notification of AGM events and priority table bookings
- One day access for group training at our National Training Centre for up to five attendees
- Access to TICA rigs and tutors for product trials, promotional videos etc.
- Access to the Technical Hub within the TICA Web-site
- Listing on TICA Associate Members Directory
- Access to TICA Construction Product Competence CPD Programme
- Access to membership publications for editorial content contributions
Application Process
Complete and return the application form. We will send you an acknowledgement letter and follow up your references. Subject to satisfactory references, the application will be passed to our Chief Executive and then to TICA Governing Council for approval.

Employment Business Membership
This TICA Membership is appropriate for companies who supply the Association’s Insulation Contractor Membership with personnel working within the National Agreement for the Thermal Insualtion Contracting Industry or the National Agreement for the Engineering and Construction Industry. They pay their employees strictly in accordance with the agreement applicable to the project on which they are employed.

- 1 reference from a client
- 1 reference from a supplier
- Health and Safety Policy
- Confirmation that when supplying labour to our members, terms and conditions of employment will be in accordance with the appropriate agreement for the trade on the project in which they are to be employed; that is the National
- Agreement for the Thermal Insulation Contracting
- Industry or the National Agreement for the Engineering and Construction Industry.
- Confirmation that, if it should be requested, the payroll of the labour employed is able to be audited by an appointed representative of the TICA/Client.

Membership Fees
The annual TICA Associate Membership subscription is £1050 + VAT; invoiced annually on January 1st. Payments can be made via BACS, Standing Order of 6 instalments, cheque or credit card.
Application Process
Complete and return this application form, and upon receipt an acknowledgement letter will be sent to you. The application will be circulated first to the TICA Chief Executive and finally to the Governing Council for approval.

Membership Fees
TICA Subscriptions are calculated on a 0.1575% of turnover. Additionally, members pay a training levy calculated on the number of operatives engaged in the business as follows:
Full Membership is calculated at 0.1575% of turnover, fee structure below:
Turnover Fee Rate
£1M and < £1,575 – minimum subscription
£1M – 5M 0.1575% of total turnover
£5M – 9.5M capped at £7,875
9.5M + capped at £15,750
Operative Training Levy: £115 for employed operatives, £180 for subcontract (CIS) operatives.
The minimum training levy will be £825 and capped at £60,000 for 2024.
TICA minimum full member subscription is £2400 for members with less than 5 operatives engaged.
An Annual Return Form is issued to all members in July of each year, which must be completed and returned. Subscription figures are calculated from the Annual Return and invoices are issued in December of each year with 4 payment options; BACS, credit card or Direct Debit of 6 monthly instalments. Invoices must be paid promptly to ensure continued membership.
Full TICA Members will benefit from a 50% discount from ACAD Membership.

Complete and return the application form. We will send you an acknowledgement letter and follow up your references.
In line with agreement with our Governing Council and ratified at the 2017 AGM, new members now require an independent audit to ensure the criteria for membership is met. The cost for this audit is £750 plus VAT. Upon receipt of your application form, we will issue an invoice for your audit, as soon as your payment is received, we will forward your details onto the auditors.
Subject to satisfactory results, the application will be granted.

COMMERCIAL CONTRACT SUPPORT
TICA has re-launched our Commercial Contract Support benefit for all our members starting from 1 July 2023.
Re-engaging our partnership with Jim Brydon will provide access to expertise, guidance and advice for any commercial contract support enquiries or concerns, in particular around dispute avoidance, dispute resolution and on-site commercial support.
Additionally, Jim has an excellent understanding of The Construction Act.
