Salary: £25000-£28000

Location: Darlington

Contract Type: Permanent, full time

Are you passionate about supporting young people and adults to improve their knowledge, skills and behaviours? Do you have an innovative approach to breaking down barriers to learning in the classroom and through remote delivery? Can you tailor learning, support and advice for learners to ensure each learner makes excellent progress in line with their individual starting points? Are you qualified and/or experienced in Careers Initial Advice and Guidance OR Functional Skills Maths Delivery OR Functional Skills English Delivery OR all 3??? If you’ve answered ‘yes’ to all of the above or, if you know the answer could be yes if you were given the correct training and support then we’d love to hear from you.

Here at the Thermal Insulation Contractors Association (TICA), the only Apprenticeship Provider in the UK offering Thermal Insulation Apprenticeships at Level 2 and Level 3, we are keen to add a new member to our team. We are on a mission to ensure that all learners receive high quality Independent Advice & Guidance so they can make informed choices about their career paths and make aspirational plans for the future. We are also committed to ensuring that all learners, whether they need to undergo a formal Functional Skills qualification or not, leave us with improved maths and English skills which will support them in the workplace and life outside of work.

We envisage a hybrid role that encompasses both Careers Advice and Guidance as well as delivery of English and maths; a role in which you will work closely with vocational staff and learners to make a genuine impact on learner progress and outcomes. For the right candidate this position will offer real autonomy to plan, deliver and support learners and we really welcome innovation and creativity when considering the best ways to engage learners both in the classroom and remotely.

We are particularly interested in speaking to candidates who may have just qualified in Teaching (at Level 3 or above) or candidates who have previously worked with young people/adults in a pastoral/support capacity and are keen to make the leap into teaching. For us the correct behaviours, attitudes and passion of the candidate are the most important factors and for the right candidate we will provide all relevant training (including recognised qualifications where necessary).

Benefits
• Competitive, incremental salary
• Consideration to hybrid working
• Generous pension scheme
• Access to private Health Care
• 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
