Membership FAQ
Thinking about becoming a TICA or ACAD member but not sure what’s involved?
We’ve answered the most common membership questions below.
Membership Structure & Duration
Does membership run January to January?
Yes. Membership operates on a calendar year basis from 1 January to 31 December.
Invoices are issued ahead of the new membership year.
Is membership pro rata if I join mid-year?
Yes. If you join part way through the year, your membership fee will be calculated on a pro rata basis for the remaining months of that calendar year.
How do I cancel my membership?
Membership cancellations must be submitted in writing.
If notice is received before 1 October, please contact the Accounts team directly to discuss your position.
If notice is received after 1 October, renewal invoices for the following year may already have been raised.
We recommend contacting the office as early as possible if you are considering cancelling.
For cancellation enquiries, please email: accounts@tica.uk.com
When are membership invoices issued?
Invoices are typically issued ahead of the new membership year to allow sufficient time for processing and payment.
If you have any invoice queries, please contact the Accounts team.
What happens if payment is late?
Membership fees are due by 31 January each year.
Failure to pay by this date means your company is technically in breach of the Articles of Association.
If payment has not been received by the end of February, your membership will be suspended until payment is received.
Late payment may affect your membership status and associated benefits, including voting eligibility.
If you are experiencing difficulty, please contact the office as early as possible.

Am I guaranteed a seat at the AGM?
Yes. Every member company is guaranteed a minimum of one seat at the Annual General Meeting if they wish to attend.

Do members get a vote?

This ensures:
- Recordsremainaccurate
• Governance requirements are met
