Malrod Ltd is an established licensed asbestos removal company based in Bolton, Greater Manchester and is currently seeking to recruit an Asbestos Project Manager.

This is a full-time position and the successful candidate will be joining our existing management team.

The role would ideally suit someone with a good knowledge and experience practicing as an Asbestos Project / Contract Manager and who is looking to further develop their career in client and project management.

In overview, your role you would be expected to identify and progress asbestos removal opportunities and to manage asbestos removal projects from quotation stage through to completion, ensuring successful project delivery.

Main Duties

  • Identify and progress asbestos removal opportunities.
  • Establish good working relationships with clients and staff.
  • Attend scheduled company and client meetings.
  • Undertake site visits and preparation of cost proposals.
  • Prepare suitable and sufficient plans of works and site-specific risk assessments.
  • Plan and allocate suitable resources (labour, plant and equipment) to projects.
  • Ensure all sites are compliant in all aspects of Health and Safety and current legislation.
  • Work closely with our site teams to promote good working practices and compliance.
  • Carry out regular site visits, project reviews, audits and management checks.
  • Attend to any non-conformities, accidents and incidents.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience and a good working knowledge of the asbestos removal industry.
  • A good working knowledge, understanding and experience of safe working practices and Health and Safety legislation.
  • Hold relevant Asbestos Management qualifications, including a current Asbestos Contract Managers training certificate.
  • Commercially aware.
  • Flexible self-starter and ability to prioritise.
  • Display strong leadership skills and an effective communicator.
  • Hold a current full UK Driving Licence.
  • PC literate.

 

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary (negotiable on experience}, company car, fuel allowance and on-site parking. There is autonomy in the role in a fantastic working environment.
